Honored for its enterprise-wide commitment to Lean culture and operational excellence
Bologna, June 19, 2025 – Blupura has been awarded the KAIZEN™ Award Italy 2025 in the Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) category, recognizing the company’s transformative journey in embedding a culture of continuous improvement across its operations.
Rooted in the Japanese concept of continuous improvement, the KAIZEN™ Award, promoted by the Kaizen Institute, celebrates organizations that stand out for innovation, efficiency, and Lean thinking. Among this year’s participants were leading names such as ustriali come Bauli, Lavazza Group, Brembo, Baker Hughes, Bitron, and NSG Group.
Blupura’s award-winning project distinguished itself through a holistic, people-driven approach. What began as a pilot on selected production lines has evolved into a full-scale Lean transformation, fully embedded in both operations and leadership routines. The initiative brought measurable improvements in productivity, flow, and efficiency, while reducing waste, lead times, and space utilization.
Since joining the Culligan group in 2017, Blupura has adopted the Culligan Business System (CBS) as a guiding framework to structure and accelerate its Lean journey. The project’s success reflects strong cross-functional collaboration, active leadership engagement, and ongoing coaching, supported by both Culligan and the Kaizen Institute.
Looking ahead, Blupura is continuing to scale its transformation across the entire organization. Strategic priorities include the expansion of the plant layout, the integration of finished goods warehouse operations, and the full deployment of its SDP (Strategic Deployment Process) approach to align long-term objectives across departments.
